I am all three of these things, otherwise what are we all doing here?

I am passionate about digital media and business, I lift huge tasks as if they are clouds and I love improving and updating the existing.

 At Livingstone International I changed the marketing collateral production so it appealed to the target audience and grew sales; I updated the website, which became a more efficient revenue strim; I was responsible for the whole company to be moved to a new EDM platform and increased delivery and open rates and therefore sales.
At NewsLocal (division of NewsCorp) I changed the look and feel of the Junior Sports Star webpages and added marketing controlled promotional spaces, I negotiated with 2 partners and 1 sponsor to support the program financially and contra. NewsLocal gave me opportunity to work with digital and media buying agencies, understand their way of thinking and tackling digital and social issues.
 Now, I am ready for a new challenge: Passion + Ambition = Success.

9. RESEARCH. PLAN. EXECUTE. ANALYSE. ADJUST. REPEAT.

Do your research, put a strategy “Attack Plan” together, make it happen, adjust as you go. Digital, Social, Email – you have to be agile as this is how it works. Digital – is data driven marketing: when the email was open, who and why clicked on what? I put strategies and schedules for EDMs and Social posts to reach the audience at the time it most needed the products. What are the reach and sales targets, how do we get to a number of likes, followers, opt-ins? What channels do we use, which will work?

8. DIVIDE & CONQUER

RedBalloon must have an impressive database, a treasure chest in my perception. I  managed a database of 15,000 and segmented by business type, location (both in Australia and state), the products bought, seasonality of purchase and etc. Targeting and localising content as well as keeping it relevant, shareable and appropriate is most important. Email: Happy Birthday, Thank you for your purchase, courtesy email that a customer bought something to someone special a year ago, reminder to book an activity, reminder about the booked activity, your feedback is important, special offers on similar experiences purchased, and many more.

However, we are seeing a trend where tech savvy users do not have a need to own an email address at all OR have one for solely registering to different platforms OR only use an email address for work purposes and in the office. What will RedBalloon do? It is time to catch up with the Social Media.

7. SOCIAL MEDIA

Working at NewsLocal I learned that readers less and less rely on specific websites to gather information and learn about what is happening in the world. They more and more opt-in towards educating on social media, Facebook groups and pages, blogs, Twitter News Alerts, Youtube video. The content that is produced for Social Media is now valuable as money itself. Anywhere I worked I was a fierce advocate for social media as it allows us to push the marketing and content to a wide audience. I am heavily involved in developing strategies for marketing campaigns, defining goals and implementing the campaigns on social media.Taking agile approach by correcting and changing the campaigns and creative based on results we receive.

6. OPTIMISE

Everywhere I worked, the need for a good website that meets current standards and was user-friendly, was never recognised. Extremely surprising as most of them were e-commerce B2B or B2C or content oriented. I was responsible for re-design, re-development and re-set up of Livingstone International corporate website (the project was not finished due to several reasons) in accordance with goals and target markets of every department (11 in total). (http://hairbeauty.livingstone.com.au/) Then at NewsLocal I drove implementation of updates to the existing NewsLocal Junior Sports Star website (www.juniorsportsstar.com.au). However, (Work in Progress) I am working on developing a brand new NewsLocal Junior Sports Star website and liaising with agencies on wireframes, design and functionality. The new website will provide an additional ad revenue, create content for social media platforms and increase the number of nominations by 15% in 2016.

5. NEW IDEAS AND TECHNOLOGY

I don’t like stagnation – it is boring.

RedBallon is a great business with a very bright future, however the bright future will not happen if it stays the way it is right now.

I like to bring change, make a difference with my work, move from average to better.

I pioneered to move the whole company to MailChimp platform as this was the best choice at the time: financially and creatively. Marketers were able to segment their databases and target specific customers. Moreover, the new system immediately increased delivery rates and therefore sales. There finally was an ability to report on email marketing progress, analyse the MailChimp reports and adjust email campaigns for the future sends.

4. MOBILE IS FUTURE

With the rise of the smartphones, we know for a fact that people move away from desktops and laptops to mobile. Everything that is now done on the desktop have to be responsive, including emails, websites, blogs. I would love to be a part of this change!

3. VIDEO AND CONTENT – WHERE IS RedBalloon?

It is predicted that 65% of all content online will be consumed in video form. People do not read – they watch. The fact that Youtube is working on offering a subscription model where customers will be able to watch the content free of commercials, and pay 50% of the subscription revenue to the advertiser – is a huge deal.

2. LOOK & FEEL

Also, I like to create, innovate and produce. It is rewarding to look at something beautifully and creatively done. This in return will increase the likelihood of your email to be opened again, your post shared, your account followed, you product booked and recommended.

It took me so long… Way too long.

And realization that my journey only starts now; that it is only so small, volnurable and weak… It makes me shiver!

This, yet unexplained feeling has been haunting me for years… It sits in my stomach… No! In the middle of my chest, as a heavy dark misunderstood fuzzy ball that just want grow out of my throught and flourish like a wild orchid… Be free, be light and colorful, be strong…

The journey to better me: free of envy, anger, fright, uncertainty.

I am only starting to understand who I am, what I want for myself and my family and what I want to give to this world.
